General opens the General Preferences dialog to set file Naming options, Leading and Trailing silence, and Rip Offsets.
Encoder opens the Encoder Preferences dialog to set MP3 or AIFF file type, Constant or Variable Bitrates, Temporary Buffer, Ripping Speeds, and which CD-ROM drive will be used for ripping. Note: The Encoder dialog includes an Advanced button to set advanced encoding options such as Copyright Bit, Original Bit, High Frequency Mode, MPEG Algorithm, and your MPEG file defaults.
Normalization opens the Normalization dialog to configure Normalization settings. For detailed information on Normalization, see Configuring Your Files to Play at the Same Volume.
Setup CDDB/ID3 opens the CDDB/ID3 Preferences dialog to set CDDB Server, Port, e-mail, and preferences for when to use CDDB and ID3 Global Preferences such as year, genre, and custom ID3 comments.
